Amazon Offers RSS Feeds for New Books

I saw this mentioned on WisBlawg, the University of Wisconsin Law Library Blog.

Amazon.com is now offering RSS feeds for new products based on user-generated tags, for example the law tag.

At the bottom right of the page, there is a link to subscribe to the RSS feed for that category.

According to WisBlawg: "This could be a great acquisitions tool for librarians."

I doubt it can compete with our standard acquisition tools such as publisher catalogues and websites, but it does provide an intriguing peek into what people interested in aspects of the law are reading right now. It can bring to the surface material that is easily overlooked.
